Counselling for Couples

What is Couple Counselling?

All relationships go through difficult times, but  how you respond to those difficulties can make the difference between staying together and splitting up.

Who is it appropriate for ?

I  see a wide range of couples including same sex partners. Some couples want to look at their relationship prior to making a commitment, like living together or marriage or civil partnership. Some couples come because their relationship is under stress or when they are in crisis.

First and foremost, counselling gives both partners the chance to be heard.  It's an opportunity to look at the problem in a different way with the support of someone who is impartial.

I help you to communicate with each other more effectively, in order to strengthen and deepen intimacy.   We work together towards the best possible solution. Sometimes one or both partners can’t or won’t change and may decide to split up.  In this case, I will help you end the relationship as amicably as possible.  However, I  give you tools and strategies to aid communication and resolve knots before they become too entrenched.
